Prince William plans to participate in the COP30 climate summit in South America during November, as confirmed by royal officials.

Prince William and King Charles appeared together on Thursday evening at a event ahead of the environmental conference, which is planned for in the Amazonian city of Belem.

Father and son were present at the Natural History Museum reception, marking an noteworthy combined presence at a climate summit preparatory event arranged together with the UK government.

Environmental Advocacy Commitment

The King has been a long-time champion of protecting nature - and the Prince of Wales has taken on the baton, with his own climate innovation awards, which will be taking place in South America ahead of the UN meeting.

Official representatives have characterized William's involvement at the next COP as stepping up an crucial position in "environmental negotiations".

The monarch and his heir, making a joint entrance in the royal vehicle, were introduced to attendees such as conservation experts, scientists, climate change campaigners, diplomats and politicians.

This involvement featured addresses together with President Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic and other world leaders at the Ocean Finance Summit in Monaco during the current year.

Environmental Prize Connection

The COP30 summit will coincide with the William's personal climate innovation prizes, which will finish in the Brazilian city the day before he joins the COP summit on 6 November.
